Shore Restaurant in Sarasota features a brunch menu on Sundays, the perfect day for brunch! 

Between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., you can order items like goat cheese & spinach quiche; chicken n’ waffle; crispy chicken biscuit and gravy; crunch brioche French toast; avocado, tomato & egg toast; or marinated steak & eggs.

Are you looking for something more for lunch than breakfast? Also on the menu are burgers, salads, and sandwiches such as a grouper sandwich, crispy chicken sandwich, and grouper tacos.

Online orders and takeout are offered through Shore’s Chownow option.

You’ll find Shore Restaurant at St. Armands Circle, the popular shopping center filled with specialty shops, galleries, and boutiques, so it’s easy to walk off your brunch by taking the afternoon to wander around and see the island gifts and souvenirs, local artists’ wares, and other unique items for sale. Blue Dolphin Café

Also found at St. Armands Circle Blue Dolphin Café is open 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily and serves breakfast and lunch all day. So that means, of course, brunch! And at a very reasonable cost: prices generally range under $10. 

Get eggs your way, an egg sandwich, chicken fried steak & eggs, eggs benedict,  or maybe pancakes, French toast, or cheese blintzes. How about Belgian or fruit-topped waffles? There are several different omelets to select, such as spinach and feta, Western, and three cheese plus a “create your own.” There are plenty of sides to choose from, including bacon, sausage patties, grits, fresh fruit, granola, home fries, and more.

When you visit Blue Dolphin, you might see such choices as Bluefin Crab Benedict, Dolphin Seafood Omelet, or Raspberry-Walnut Cheese Blintzes. The lunch menu lists soups and salads, burgers, wraps, and a smoked salmon platter. Daily specials are prepared by graduates of the restaurant’s Culinary Institute.

Blue Dolphin Café also has a location on Gulf of Mexico Drive in Longboat Key. Their hours are 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Blue Dolphin is proud to be a “green” restaurant, using eco-friendly disposable items and natural, no growth hormone meat for all meat items, including bacon.

Verona Gourmet

Another St. Armand’s Circle restaurant serving brunch is Verona Gourmet, operated by a Hungarian emigrant who worked for 25 years in the hospitality industry before starting his own venture. Nikoletta Pongo brings his love of unique tastes and quality food preparation to breakfast, lunch, and dinner menus with such Hungarian dishes as bundas kenyer (a French toast recipe), Greek burrito, the classic Hungarian chicken dish Chicken Paprikas, and bakyoni mushroom pasta with Hungarian style mushroom ragu.

For brunch, you’ll find a diverse menu offering quiche, avocado toast, omelets, burritos, and salads, along with hot and cold sandwiches that include panini, burgers, and grilled cheese. 

Orders can be placed online and picked up within 30 to 45 minutes.

Verona is open every day 7:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. (til 2:30 p.m. Sundays). The 10,000-sq. ft. location is also home to a retail market, wine/tobacco store, chophouse/bistro, vodka bar, and artist lounge.

Cilantro

Sarasota-based Cilantro Grill is a Mexican restaurant known for its breakfast, sweet, and savory crepes. Breakfast crepes contain egg and cheese with various choices, such as caramelized onions and green peppers, jalapeno and guacamole, and ricotta, feta cheese, and spinach. 

Flavors you’ll find in Cilantro’s sweet and savory crepes include Nutella, strawberry jam, pineapple, maple syrup, cream cheese, and Italian sausage.

There are omelets with wild smoked salmon; cream cheese-stuffed French toast with your choice of strawberry, raspberry, or apricot jam; apple cinnamon, blueberry, or chocolate chip pancakes; and Huevos Rancheros (two eggs any style with hot corn tortillas, ham, Cilantro, and shredded cheese with homemade salsa).

Lunch selections include wraps, a burrito bowl, empanadas, tacos, quesadillas, Philly cheesesteak, Reubens, and grilled chicken.
