Tommy Bahama
Tommy Bahama is an American seafood staple with a Caribbean twist and a warm, tropical vibe. The 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. happy hour is especially popular for those looking to try one of their fruity or beachy rum cocktails. You’ll also find many martinis, Belgian ales, and a great wine list for the perfect pairing with your seafood dish.
Tommy Bahama has ample choice on their lunch and dinner menus. You’ll find multiple dishes with scallops, shrimp, crab, and lobster. Keep an eye out for the savory bisque, fresh ceviche, and coconut shrimp! Ahi tuna and blackened fish tacos are fan favorites as well.
This fabulous eatery sits right on the west edge of Lido Key near St. Armand’s Circle. They are open from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily, or 10 p.m. on Sundays.
Lido Beach Restaurant
Looking for good food right by the water? This is as close as it gets. Tucked into a local community center and pool, Lido Beach Restaurant serves lunch from 10am – 4:30pm daily. It’s perfectly positioned right by the beach. You don’t have to go far to fill up after a swim or walk on the waterfront trail.
The lobster rolls here are legendary. They’re delicious and filling on their own, and amazing with avocado and cilantro or lime as well. Keep an eye out for the fish sandwiches and generous sides of salad or fries. They also serve beer, wine, and other cold drinks.
Speaks Clam Bar
If you’re clamoring for a good bite Speaks has you covered. This Italian restaurant has a prohibition-era speakeasy design with a modern flair. They’re open daily from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m., or 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday nights.
Lobster, shrimp, and shellfish can also be found everywhere on the menu: in soups and dips, as starters or mains. The Shell Bar might be the best place to start. But we hear rave reviews about their classic seafood pastas like the Corfu seafood or frutti di mare linguine.
Speaks is 100% proudly local and their ingredients are locally sourced too. They’re located on President’s Boulevard just north of St. Armand’s Circle. Open daily from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m., or 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday nights.
Shore
Shore is another great St. Armand’s Circle entry. You’ll find seafood and fish in abundance, as well as plenty of other meat and vegetarian options. The calamari is a hit. Risotto, salads, and sandwiches with lobster, tuna or crab are all top-notch. Whatever you get, a side of the parmesan truffle fries will round off a wonderful meal.
Shore is open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., or 11 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. Cool, matte colors and shaded veranda add to its sleek ambiance. Check out the interesting cocktails and snacks like the seafood sliders as well.
Crab & Fin
One of the best St. Armand’s Circle restaurants is a great seafood dining experience. Crab & Fin has an elegant, modern interior and a decorated outdoor patio to sit you down in style. Live piano accompanies you at dinner. Catch them at 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., or 10:30 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
The menu here pulls out all the stops. Shrimp, scallops, octopus, and caviar are among the many aperitifs found here. Scrumptious swordfish, Mahi Mahi and Yellowfin Tuna are some of the more popular dinner dishes. They also have 3-course meal if you’re looking for a full dinner.
Lido Key is a barrier island next to Sarasota. Don’t let this small space fool you though – it’s packed with things to do.
Staying on Lido Key
Between your meals, pass the day at Lido beach or wander the trails of the key. Explore the area’s aquatic life at Mote Marine or go on a boat tour.
